2017: Permit and Kitchen
2017 was mainly the year of the building permit. In January, the architect drafted the first version of the application, a fire safety report was prepared, building control came up with additional questions, monument conservation visited again, a structural engineer reviewed everything, the fire safety report was checked once more, but finally, in November, the decision was made: I could proceed with the renovations on the first floor.
In the meantime, I worked on the kitchen. The plumbing was renewed, a partition wall was installed, and the walls and floor were tiled. So far, only a few work tables have been placed in the kitchen; the rest of the furnishings will come later.
