2016: Toilets and Pool
I ended up postponing the permit application for another year. There were too many uncertainties about costs and conditions. So that will be in 2017.
In 2016, I completed two projects: in the spring, I built the restroom facilities on the ground floor. For this, I took another section of the former sports hall. These restrooms are for general use.
In June and July, I installed the swimming pool. Over one weekend, we rented a small excavator and a shovel loader. With these, we dug the pool pit and also removed all traces of the former playground from the garden: all the holes where play equipment had stood, remnants of paving, and so on. After that, we installed the pool and finished the surrounding area.
